About the Artist
Once Brooklyn Artist, relocated to the village of Northport, MI, to paint minimalist paintings and write about a secular/humanist's perspective.
Wilson's musical career began by singing in a Cathedral boy's choir that sang on national TV for JFK's funeral. That and the organihas been a central influence in his philosophical approach to music; composed and performed for an array of musical groups, choruses and solo performances. Though not inspired to play or learn composition through the classical tradition, Wilson gives credit to such composers for his approach.
Along a path of invention, Wilson's compositions are influenced by the Italian Renaissance, Baroque, Celtic and other folk styles.
With an interest in both classical and modern philosophy, and poets such as Yeats, Rumi and Rilke, Pat Wilson's music might best be described as melodic, reflective and sincere.
